Hellas : TotalEnergies Marketing team became Silver Sponsor of Prom Racing Team
Prom Racing, the NTU team that has been participating in the World Formula Student Competition since 2008, swept the honours in the races it took part in this summer. Prom Racing designed and built its first electric racing car and is the first Greek team to win a Formula Student competition!
Τhis action reflects our alignment with TotalEnergies ambition to “Get to Net Zero” and the turn to new forms of motorsports and EV fluids in order to reduce the environmental footprint and become part of e-mobility. In competitions held even at well-known Formula 1 circuits such as Hungaroring in Hungary and Hockenheim in Germany, the NTU team dominated, winning in many cases even 1st place in all dynamic events, with top awards in the Endurance, Engineering Design Event and Cost Event categories.
Its dominance was also absolute in the race held in the Czech Republic, its performance in the Netherlands was excellent, and especially in the German competition it ranked 5th in the General Ranking among the 38 top electric teams worldwide.
A decisive contribution to all Prom Racing's successes - despite the difficulties of the pandemic and the transition from thermal to electric motor for the car - was made by the Faculties of Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA, the Research Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) and the team's sponsors.
